Acceptance of Terms

When you book a course with MOSS Sailing, you acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions. Please ensure you fully understand them. For any queries or additional information, contact us at info@moss-sailing.com.

General

Candidates commit to using the provided craft and equipment, adhering to MCA standards. MOSS Sailing reserves the right to terminate courses due to unacceptable behaviour, with no obligation to refund or cover return travel costs. We are not responsible for personal possessions lost or damaged during courses. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who also signs a consent form.

Bookings and Deposits

A contract is established upon acceptance by MOSS Sailing of a booking request via phone, email, or online, along with the required deposit. One-day courses require full payment upfront. For other courses, a non-refundable deposit of €100 per person is required. Full payment must be completed one month before the course start date; otherwise, MOSS reserves the right to cancel the booking.

What is Included?

Sail cruising practical courses include onboard accommodation, meals (excluding one dinner ashore), mooring fees, and boat expenses. Life jackets or buoyancy aids are provided, with waterproofs available for hire. Footwear is not provided.

Payment Options

Cancellations

Cancellations up to 28 days before the start incur deposit forfeiture. After this period, full fees are due. In the rare event of cancellation by MOSS Sailing, a full refund will be provided.

Certification

While comprehensive coaching is provided, passing courses or exams is not guaranteed. The decision of the Instructor or Assessor is final.

Courses, Charters, and Races Abroad

Includes competitive racing, with safety as the priority. For own boat tuition, the craft must be insured, and the instructor's safety decisions are final. All participants need valid passports and visas, if applicable.

Starting Times and Medical Safety

Courses generally start at 10:00 am. Candidates must be in good health and inform instructors of any medication. Safety decisions by the instructor are final.

Program Changes and Complaints

We reserve the right to make necessary changes to programs. For complaints, initially contact the instructor or staff. Unresolved issues should be directed to “The Director” at MOSS Sailing's address, marked as “private and confidential”.
